I live in Carpinteria, CA and surf the points and beachies around Santa Barbara and Ventura.

Been riding mats off and on for about the last 12 years now. Got my first real mat from Dale back in 2001. Some years, I ride them a bunch, other years only get a couple of go outs on the mat. Just depends on what I'm feeling at the moment.

This winter, I've been getting back into mat surfing a bit more, enjoying the opportunity to ride with others.

Current quiver is made of 2 custom nuematics circa '01 and '05 and picked up two 4GFs this last spring from Paul: a Standard and a Roundtail Vespa.

I really enjoy the stealth approach of the mats and the ability to make otherwise marginal conditions into a lot of fun!

Welcome aboard. Yes I too love the ability that mats have to turn junk in to gold and sharing waves with other mat riders also seems to be an important part of the equation too! Smile
