Hi from Mat friendly but lonely Cape Cod.....chsunspirit and deb
First.....an admission.....I am a wholehearted fan/believer in all matters: MAT....I am a large kneeboarder since I was given a very flat 6 ft.fish in the USVI in 1981....and have evolved to a homegrown quadfish of my own design and construction. I BeLIEVE in mats....and have a LARGE 4th GF and an MT5.....my lady Deb began...by ordering a custom DALE Neumatic!!! and also has an MT5 in her quiver. We are -it is to be admitted ......enthusiastic Newbies to mat-world....though my surfing years go back to 1965 on a 9'6"....and a shortboard transition in 1972....a four year foray on my Homebuilt 22 foot schooner through the Bahamas/Carribean and Back to New England again in 1979-1983....an enthusiastic kneeboarder....since.....mostly sand bar beach break around here...(when it's good....!).and I let anyone within ear range know about mats....we can ALWAYS use more "soft-craft " in the line-up.....and the smiles.....I Love the smiles....I have a 38 foot Cedar on Oak Block Island Schooner under construction in my front yard....under the pine trees....that promises adventures in the future.....and the prospect of sliding our sand tubes and future point adventures on the "deck" /"skin" of a magic Towel.....fuels my/our enthusiasms no end......So I look forward to reporting....in the relatively near Future... that I /we.....have had our day of Epiphany....when all things Mat-tish have come together....and I fully grok...and have experienced the Full possibilities....alas....NOT as yet....(to be continued)....and THANKS to this Forum for existing.....ch and deb of Sunspirit Boatworks

Fantastic to hear from you Ch and welcome. It has been awhile since I logged in here so apologies for taking sometime to respond to your post. Rapt to hear both you and your good lady a mat riders.
